The Interface
What is a Device Interface? Simply put, it’s the output service that sends messages that are subsequently received from an input service. For example, a fire alarm call to a device the user is holding. This device could be a smartphone, a Dect phone or a radio.

Spectralink Dect
Spectralink’s range of DECT solutions provide an enterprise-grade wireless phone system for any businesses where Wi-Fi service is not an option. The BlueSky Messaging System can dispatch text messages to these devices and receive responses and alarms back.
Spectralink 84 Series
The Spectralink 84 series of rugged Wi-Fi feature phones can receive text and speech messages as well as being able to raise alarms back to the BlueSky Messaging System.
Spectralink Versity
Spectralink’s Versity range of enterprise-grade smartphones integrate with the BlueSky Messaging System natively or via the BlueSky Communicator app for Android devices. Versity devices are capable of receiving both text and speech messages as well as providing integration for Spectralink SAFE with the SoloTraxx lone worker safety platform.
Ascom Myco
The Ascom Myco Android Enterprise handset operates on both WiFi, DECT, and cellular and can integrate with the BlueSky Messaging System using the BlueSky Communicator Android app. The integrated personal safety functionality can integrate with the SoloTraxx lone worker sefty platform to provide alerts for the personal alarm button, man-down, and no-movement alerts.
Ascom VoWiFi and Dect
Ascom’s feature phone range of VoWiFi and DECT handsets can receive text messages from the BlueSky Messaging System. With the Protector license, handsets can integrate with the SoloTraxx lone worker safety platform to raise alarms.
Vocera
The Vocera range of badges allow for hands-free communications and can receive voice and basic text messages over a WiFi connection from the BlueSky Messaging System, including text-to-speech messages.
Android and iOS Smartphones
The BlueSky Communicator app for both Android and iOS can receive and send both text and speech messages and supports both direct connection to the BlueSky Messaging System and a cloud connection to provide reliable messaging no matter where you are.
Druid Raemis
Druid’s Raemis technology platform provides a private cellular network which the BlueSky Messaging System can use to dispatch SMS text messages to areas with low or no coverage form public cellular networks.
Microsoft Teams
The Microsoft Teams integration from BlueSky Wireless can dispatch text messages to either individual users or groups, or to Teams channels.
Mitel DECT and VoWiFi
Mitel’s DECT and WiFi handsets can receive text messages from the BlueSky Messaging System, and when used with an alert license the SoloTraxx Lone Worker platform can receive alarms from these handsets.
Pager Systems
The BlueSky Messaging System can dispatch messages to a variety of pager systems, including text messages and speech messages on supported platforms.
Phone Calls
The BlueSky Messaging System can initiate outbound calls to either single phones, ring groups, or hunt groups. Outbound calls can either use text-to-speech or recorded speech from other solutions like the Smart Console or the BlueSky Communicator app.
Sirens and SIP Public Address Systems
Sirens and SIP based PA systems can integrate with the BlueSky Messaging System to provide wide-area alerting for speech messages.
SMS Text Messages
For users without a smartphone, the BlueSky Messaging System can dispatch SMS text messages via a local SMS gateway or via a cloud service.
Motorola MotoTrbo DMR
Motorola’s range of Digital Mobile Radio products can receive text messages from the BlueSky Messaging System on both digital portable radios and on digital mobile radios.
Hytera DMR
The Hytera range of two-way Digital Mobile Radios can connect to the BlueSky Messaging System to receive text messages.
The BlueSky Messaging System can dispatch email messages, including attachments for speech messages and other media.
