An Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) battery is used to protect hardware such as computers, data centres, telecommunication equipment or other electrical equipment, where an unexpected power disruption could cause injuries, fatalities, serious business disruption or data loss. Example – When a UPS battery fails, the main power fails or a fault is signalled, this interface generates a message which can be delivered to a single endpoint, group or escalation set, alerting staff that immediate action is required.
