Mitel Voice Dialler Module
The Mitel Voice Dialer device interface module allows the BlueSky Messaging System to connect to a Mitel platform as a soft-phone which can make outgoing calls to any other device connected to the Mitel platform.
Outgoing calls can playback any audio associated with a message, or if there is no audio associated to the message then the text for the message is synthesized as speech using a text to speech system. Outgoing calls for messages that have options associated with them, such as messages from Workflow systems, can receive responses via the callee entering digits on their handset. Called users can optionally request the message to be repeated after it is completed by pressing a key on their handset, such as *.
Key features:
The key features of this module are:
- Make outgoing calls to any device connected to the Mitel platform.
- Send existing audio for messages to devices, or synthesize message text to speech.
- Optionally allow messages to be repeated up to a limited number of repetitions.
- Receive responses from called devices for messages with associated options.
- Multiple instances of this module can run alongside each other on distinct numbers. If the load balancing feature of the BlueSky Message Router module is enabled, then outgoing calls will be evenly distributed between instances of the module to allow multiple outgoing calls to occur simultaneously.
Use cases
Some example uses cases for this module include:
- Dialing off-site employee work-issued mobile phones to alert them of SoloTraxx man-down alarms.
- Announcing messages via loudspeakers connected to the Mitel platform.
