Outgoing calls can playback any audio associated with a message, or if there is no audio associated to the message then the text for the message is synthesized as speech using a text to speech system. Outgoing calls for messages that have options associated with them, such as messages from Workflow systems, can receive responses via the callee entering digits on their handset. Called users can optionally request the message to be repeated after it is completed by pressing a key on their handset, such as *.

• Multiple instances of this module can run alongside each other on distinct numbers. If the load balancing feature of the BlueSky Message Router module is enabled, then outgoing calls will be evenly distributed between instances of the module to allow multiple outgoing calls to occur simultaneously.
